Hilary Charwell, Vicar of St. Augustine's, offers to have Diana Ferse and her children at his home if Adrian can make any arrangements.
Alan Tasburgh asks Dinny to marry him, but she evades him. She intimates that she will stay with Diana Ferse for her own safety. Meanwhile Adrian is making enquiries at the Mental Home regarding Ronald Ferse's condition.
Professor Hallorsen gives Dinny to understand that he loves her, and is doing his best to undo all the harm he has caused her brother.
