Live from Peking

on BBC Radio 3

Today a symphony concert Is being given in Peking. By arrangement with Peking Radio, it will be beamed direct by satellite to Paris where It will be broadcast by France Musique. Radio 3 is relaying this first-ever live broadcast in stereo from Peking by courtesy of Radio France. It gives a unique opportunity of hearing Chinese musicians as they make music - the music of both their own culture and of Western Europe.
