'THE CELESTIAL GARDENER'

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

F. H. Grisewood
Here is a broadcast that will delipht all lovers of 'Our Bill', F. H. Grisewood 's delightful Cotswold character. Grisewood read ' The Celestial Gardener ' on Good Friday last year, and this ' repeat' is the result of many requests.
The original of ' Our Bill ' died over a year ago, and in this story Grisewood tells of how the old man, rather awe-struck by the sight of heaven, decided to make himself useful by making a garden round the pearly gates, and rendering, as it were, the whole place more homely and friendly for incoming souls.
