Appeal on behalf of the Nurses' Fund for Nurses by Kay Hammond
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to [address removed]
For twenty-seven years this Fund has been helping nurses of a paat generation who worked devotedly for the tiny salaries then prevailing. Unable to make provision for their old age, many of tthem, now frail and aged, live lonely and forgotten, their old-age pension insufficient to meet the heavy cost of living. This Fund helps them with regular or emergency grains, gives advice in difficulty, sends them birthday and Christmas presents-in short, makes them feel that they are not quite forgotten but have a friend in need.
The principle of this Fund is to use money contributed to give immediate help, therefore its work is dependent on regular support from friends
