Victoria and Albert

on BBC Two England

First shown last year in two episodes, this star-studded drama chronicles the romance between Queen Victoria and her consort, Prince Albert.
The spirited Princess Victoria appears to be the antithesis of her serious German cousin Albert, but a family adviser is convinced a union between the two would be advantageous. Later on, as Albert's love and support for his wife grows, he becomes increasingly frustrated by inactivity.
