Stay Hungry

on BBC Two England

starring
Jeff Bridges Sally Field and Arnold Schwarzenegger
Despite his money, mansion and good connections among the social set of Birmingham, Alabama, Craig Blake 's restlessness is evident. In the course of buying up a gymnasium as part of a property deal he becomes intrigued by a group of bodybuilders preparing for the Mr Universe Contest, whose attitudes differ so radically from those of the privileged southern society to which he is accustomed. But as Craig's involvement with these real people deepens, the pressures of his upbringing and business responsibilities begin to escalate....
Bob Rafelson 's film takes a witty and unusual look at the different sides of the 'American dream'.
