From Aberdeen
Ric Wharton began diving in a local gravel-pit in a home-made rubber suit that let in the water. Today he is co-owner of one of Britain's biggest diving companies, based in Aberdeen.
Ric describes the dangers a diver faces and the techniques he employs to stay alive in the dangerous waters of the North Sea. He also explains how he has grown to love the 'granite city' and why he will stay there even after the oil boom is over.
