The first meeting of the Angleton Preservation Society has taken place, and the opposition to the proposed eastern route for the by-pass is growing. Sydney Huxle, now doing very nicely with his strip cartoon venture, has received his first big cheques. Feeling 'flush', he has taken a new flat and has bought lots of new furniture for it, and Margot Kerr is helping him move in. Her sister Kirsty is due home for the Easter holidays. And today Jimmy Harker meets a group of new, though not altogether desirable friends, who are going to be around for quite a while to come...
