Sir Edwin Lutyens, Architect to the Edwardians
Folly Farm in Berkshire

Lionel Brett tells the story of Lutyens, the most recent of the great English architects, and the last builder of country mansions in England. His genius is brilliantly displayed at Folly Farm. Here he twice expanded a traditional English cottage in two completely contrasting styles, each showing off the other to advantage, enhanced, as with all Lutyens' work, by the garden which surrounds the house.
