Porridge

on BBC One London

The feature film starring Ronnie Barker, Richard Beckinsale, Fulton Mackay, Brian Wilde with Peter Vaughan as 'Grouty'.
In this hilarious film version of the TV series, habitual prisoner and eternal optimist Norman Fletcher is doing porridge again - detained at Her Majesty's pleasure at Slade Prison. A celebrities-v-prisoners football match is planned to provide cover for an escape attempt in which Fletcher and his young cell-mate become unwillingly involved. In his last film appearance, Richard Beckinsale co-stars as the irrepressible Lennie Godber.
