Newseries From Where I Stand

on BBC Two England

There are many faiths but the spirit is one, in me, in you and in every man. (LEO TOLSTOY) In this series of films, six people reflect upon the faith they practise and explain how it helps them to live in Britain today. 1: Indarjit Singh
INDARJIT SINCH is a Sikh. He lives in Wimbledon and follows a religion and philosophy founded by Guru Nanak 500 years ago in India. Guru Nanak always stressed the importance of living a life of balance: ' Be like the lotus flower,' he said, ' which having its roots in muddy waters still flowers beautifully above it.'
