In 1991 ambitious navy flier Paula Coughlin attends the "Tailhook Symposium" of military personnel in Las Vegas. By tradition, it is an opportunity for boisterous servicemen to let off steam, and no one has warned Lt Coughlin of a humiliating experience she is to undergo at the hands of her drunken colleagues.
