Championship Darts Special

on BBC Two England

The first of two programmes
1983 has been eventful for darts on BBC television. It was the year of the shock win by Keith Deller in the World Professional Championship final in January at Jollees, Stoke-on-Trent. It was the year when the venue for the British Professional Championship burnt down five weeks before the event, and the new venue - the Coatham Bowl in Redcar - was found just in time. It was the year Eric Bristow , World No 1, was involved in two outstanding matches.
Tonight and on Friday night you can join Eric Bristow to relive the tension and drama of these matches, starting this evening with the semi-final of the Unipart British Professional Championship between Eric and Jocky Wilson.
