View in Radio Times

A Comedy by Lady Gregory.
[Starring] Sara Allgood, Fred O'Donovan, Tony Quinn

Dublin has been the birthplace of many celebrities of the theatre. One of the most famous actresses born in that city is Sara Allgood, who in today's production will play the part of Mrs. Donahue. She made her first appearance on the stage as a member of the Irish National Theatre Society at the Molesworth Hall in Dublin in 1904. Her London debut was in the same year at the Royalty. She can now look back to more than thirty years' brilliant work on the stage. Her favourite part - and possibly her greatest success - was as Juno Boyle in Sean O'Casey's "Juno and the Paycock".
