Larry Young. Julian Joseph selects recordings by this American organist who was a founder member of Tony Williams's jazz-rock group Lifetime. Among Young's other collaborators were Lou Donaldson , Miles Davis and Pharoah Sanders. He recorded albums under his own name during the 1960s, including a Blue Note date with trumpeter Woody Shaw , drummer Elvin Jones and saxophonist Joe Henderson.
