When Meg buys a vintage Mark 4 Jaguar she hopes for a comfortable ride and security on the roads. Unfortunately the car has other ideas and a dark history that gradually drives the young girl into a nervous breakdown. Not only has she acquired the vehicle, she has also inherited its memory of the strangled body left in the boot - and the sadistic killer who is still on the prowl. This thriller, also known as Dark of the Night, marked the feature debut of former documentary film maker Gaylene Preston.
