The Bible ... In the Beginning

on BBC Two England

This epic production draws on the Book of Genesis to depict The Creation through to the story of Abraham and Isaac. In spectacular photography, the film unfolds an evocation of the Garden of Eden; Noah's escape from the Flood in the Ark; the fiasco of the building of the Tower of Babel; and finally the submission of Abraham to God's will. John Huston dominates the film as director, actor and narrator, and the script was prepared by poet Christopher Fry with the aid of many scholars.
