Rhodes around Britain

on BBC Two England

This week chef Gary Rhodes is in Aberdeenshire to visit an oil platform where menus have to be planned two weeks in advance. He goes to Pennan, the village where the film Local Hero was shot, to discover how cullen skink (a rich fish soup) is made, and ends his tour at a traditional ceilidh. On the menu tonight are beef stew and dumplings, and Gary's
"signature" dish - smoked haddock with Welsh rarebit and tomato salad.
