Matthias Jabs , who joined the German band in the late 70s. Rocking hard since 1965, Scorpions rank among the country's biggest-selling acts - up there with Boney M , Modern
Talking and James Last - and have inspired the likes of Metallica, Def
Leppard and Iron Maiden. Their one big UK hit, Wind of Change (1991), remains their signature track.
