Sunday Cricket: The Player's County League: Surrey v. Yorkshire

on BBC Two England

Introduced by Frank Bough

If Surrey are to maintain their challenge and remain in the leading group of the Sunday League a win at the Oval this afternoon is vital, and much will depend on their young Pakistani Younis Ahmed. He is currently playing so well and has achieved the batsman's goal of 1,000 runs for the season. However, last year's County champions, Yorkshire, do not believe in second best, so today's match will be a hard-fought battle in which victory will be well earned.

Today's other fixtures: Derbyshire v. Worcestershire, Glamorgan v. Warwickshire,
Gloucestershire v. Nottinghamshire, Lancashire v. Middlesex, Leicestershire v. Kent,
Somerset v. Essex, Sussex v. Hampshire
