Leicester v. The Barbarians
A commentary on the second half of the annual match by H. B. T. Wakelam from the Welford Road Ground,
Leicester
This match is an annual event of no little importance in the Rugby football world, bringing together, as it does, two sides of first-class players. The Leicester XV is one of the crack teams in the Midlands, and the Barbarians are composed entirely of Internationals and other Rugby players of the first water. The Barbarians make two tours each year, the one against Midland teams, and the other against tne Welsh sides of Penarth, Cardiff, Swansea, and Newport later in the season.
