' E. M. Delafield '
Extracts from her writings read by Eric Gillett
In his series of readings from the works of modern British travellers
Eric Gillett this afternoon will draw upon the work of Miss E. M. Delafield.
Although she is better known to most people as a novelist, Miss Delafield's travel sketches are a very interesting part of her writings. Some years ago she made an adventurous journey in Russia, where she lived on a farm for some time. She is well known as a delightful stylist with a happy turn of phrase, and as an expert and humorous observer of the human scene.
