This week DONALD srNDEN visits the church-yard at Painswick in Gloucestershire, which has a unique collection of Renaissance and Baroque tombs, and Bottesford Church in Leicestershire, the only parish church in the country where the monuments of eight successive earls can be seen under one roof.
