An Appeal on behalf of ST. MARTIN'S SUMMER HOLIDAY FUND by the Rev. PAT MCCORMICK , D.S.O.
The Holiday Fund was started many years ago by Dr. Sheppard, then Vicar of St. Martin-in-the-Fields. By means of it, both he and his successor there, the Rev. Pat McCormick , have been able to help many poor people to have a good holiday, and especially those who have seen better days and to whom a small gift of money makes all the difference ; sometimes it is just that little extra which makes the holiday a real one, especially for the children.
As the Vicar of ' the Church in Trafalgar Square Mr. McCormick comes in contact continually with people who need a gift of this kind, and he has very many he wants to help this year.
The work is done by voluntary helpers, and postage and so forth is paid from other sources, so there are no administrative expenses in connection with the Fund. Every penny given
' goes towards somebody's holiday.
Contributions will be gratefully acknowledged and should be addressed to [address removed].
