David Bintley's colourful and entertaining tribute to fifties Americana, choreographed to the Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn jazz variation on Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite.

The dance is performed with great style and virtuosity by the ballerinas of Birmingham Royal Ballet, appearing as the characters Sugar Rum Cherry, Volga Vouty, Candy Kane, Peanut Brittle and Arabesque Cookie, among others.
