Second of two programmes Dr Conor Cruise O'Brien has spent much of his life writing about Ireland and has been actively involved in Irish politics. Presently he is a Fellow at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, where he is lecturing on ' The Age of Enlightenment'.
Martin Dillon visited him there and talked to him about his academic life and how his views on Ireland have been shaped by his family background, Roman Catholicism and his Irishness. Producer MARTIN DILLON
