Glyndebourne Gala

The very last performance to be given in the original
Glyndebourne theatre is a concert in aid of the building of the new opera house, due to open in 1994. It is given in the presence of HRH the Prince of Wales.
Sir George Christie , Dame
Janet Baker , Sir Geraint Evans and Elisabeth Soderstrom present an evening of arias from operas particularly associated with Glyndebourne, by Monteverdi, Mozart,
Rossini, Richard Strauss and Verdi. The evening ends with a firework display.

Cynthia Haymon , Felicity Lott , Benjamin Luxon , Frederica von Stade and Ruggero Raimondi.
