On 16 June 1976, Vusi Mavuso took part in a student protest march. He witnessed the killing of children in Soweto. Now, he is a trade union organiser and political activist and, as a result, has spent time in South African prisons. He and the recently-released ANC veteran Walter Sisulu agree that confinement has only strengthened their determination to fight apartheid.
