Already, 1974 has been a good year for gloom. With rocketing oil prices, Britain and her trading partners face a huge rise in import bills. The result could be a world-wide trade war. And, when we struggle out of our own coal/three-day-week crisis, will there be only darkness at the end of the tunnel?
