Gardeners' World

on BBC Two England

from Werneth allotments, Oldham
Presented by Geoff Hamilton and Clay Jones
Andy Bullough has been growing vegetables on the same patch for over 33 years - and does it well enough to have won cups galore for the best allotment in Oldham.
Onions, leeks and celery are his specialities, which he grows both for show and the kitchen, but he is also self-sufficient in other vegetables. He spends over 40 hours a week gardening. Cleanliness and plant hygiene are essential and, with club root surrounding him, his growing expertise is constantly being tested. He's joined by Radio
Lancashire's Fred Downham. Executive producer JOHN KENYON
