Born in Berlin, Jewish jazz trumpeter Eddie Rosner fled persecution by the Nazis and went to the Soviet Union, where Stalin feted him before banishing him to the Gulag. Tonight, the documentary showcase profiles the musician dubbed the "White Armstrong" by Louis Armstrong himself. Director Pierre-Henry Salfati : Series editor Nick Fraser Storyville: Gods of Brazil is on Thursday at 11.20pm
