Scare Stories: Scorching the Earth

on BBC Two England

The third of five programmes examining environmental issues that have caused widespread concern.

Potentially the most terrifying of all environmental scares, man-made global warming quickly became a political and scientific football, with careers made and broken on it. But the science was hotly disputed. Was it the ultimate scare story - or an early warning?
