Bath International Festival

on BBC Two England

Introduced by Michael Berkeley
featuring The Stan Tracey Big Band

In the fifth of six visits to the Bath Festival, BBC2 once again joins Radio 3 for a simultaneous broadcast of one of the highlights from the festival's ambitious jazz programme.
Stan Tracey is one of Britain's most popular jazz composers and arrangers. Tonight he leads 14 of Britain's most talented instrumentalists in A Tribute to The Duke
Part 1 of a concert of music composed and inspired by Duke Ellington, featuring original compositions by Tracey himself and familiar Ellington standards, including the much-loved 'Mood Indigo'.
(In association with Milburn's Restaurant)

A simultaneous broadcast with Radio 3. Viewers with stereo Radio 3 may wish to turn off TV sound and position their speakers on either side of the screen, but a few feet away. Stereo headphones provide a suitable alternative.
(Part 2 of the concert can be heard on Radio 3 at 10.45)
