Viewers have the chance to decide in a phone vote which episode ends the evening at 8.45pm from a list of five selected by series creator Matt Groening. See page 29 for details. Since 1987, The Simpsons has grown from a 15-second slot on The Tracey Ullman Show into a worldwide phenomenon. The show's creator, Matt Groening, is joined by the writers, actors, animators and guest stars - including Mel Gibson and Tom Jones - to tell the story of how Springfield put itself indelibly on the global broadcasting map.
