Tigris - The Sumerian Voyage of Thor Heyerdahl 3: Navigators
Tigris, damaged and needing repair, continues her voyage through the Arab Gulf linking ancient sites influenced by the Sumerians of ancient Mesopotamia. Heyerdahl argues that reed boats were the means that spread civilisation across the world from Mesopotamia, Egypt to Mexico, Peru and even the islands of Polynesia. But the Tigris journey itself is anything but plain-sailing.
