It was a happy idea when Stanelli thought of his bachelor party, made a record of it, and played it over to Eric Maschwitz , then Director of Variety, who fell for it at once. That was in 1936. The Bachelor Party was on the air on and off for three years.
The scene is Stanelli's flat ;
Jim Emery ' is his servant and was his batman in the last war. ' Jim Emery ' is really Jack Wynne. Another original member is that Rrand comedian, Norman Long ' Old Teeth and Trousers '.Al and Bob Harvey have been among the bachelors before.
