Behind Closed Doors: A God-shaped Space

on BBC Two England

The first of four films offering a glimpse behind the closed doors of some of Britain's more secretive societies.
Mount Saint Bernard Abbey in Leicestershire is home to 38 Roman Catholic Cistercian monks. These men have withdrawn from their families and from the world at large.
Having taken their vows, they never leave the monastery unless absolutely necessary. Nine hundred years after the founding of the enclosed order, the monks discuss their lives.
