The Money Programme

on BBC Two England

The consumer electronics group Amstrad was a success story of the 80s and its entrepreneurial founder Alan Sugar became one of the country's richest men. But his business empire is now struggling. When the football club he owned, Tottenham Hotspur, was in trouble Sugar took decisive action and brought in a new manager with a radically different style to produce the right results. But can the same tactics work for Amstrad? Steve Annett reports on Sugar's recruitment of a new chief executive and their multi-million-pound plan to develop new blockbusters. Presented by Francine Stock.
