Armand and Michaela Denis on Safari to Asia
There are 20,000 temples in Thailand. In one of them the travellers watch the initiation ceremony of a Buddhist monk and see something of the privileged life of the monks. By contrast they visit the Klongs - a teeming community living in huts and boats a few miles from the centre of the City of Angels (the Thai name of Bangkok). And, of course, they don't miss the zoo, which boasts an acrobatic gibbon and an 'abominable snowman' in miniature.
