Scarfe on Sex

on BBC Two England

Cartoonist Gerald Scarfe sets out on an imaginative quest to understand that certain feeling, that primal, basic urge, which dominates so much of our life. Scarfe travels back to his own childhood, on a strange trip underground, and away to a very specialised hotel. He encounters creatures and figures of fantasy and reality - a snake, an abbot, Sigmund Freud , Miss Sadie, a rhinocerous, even Adam and Eve.
