ElleryEskelin
Jez Nelson presents a concert by one of America's most experimental players,
Ellery Eskelin , the American saxophonist who has been seizing attention in the improvised jazz scene for over a decade with his inventive compositions and compelling solos. After studies with David Liebman and George Coleman ,
Eskelin played with a range of musicians, including organist Jack McDuff. In tonight's programme he performs with his current band, which includes sampler and accordion player Andrea Parkins and incendiary drummer Jim Black of Alas No Axis fame.
