Presented by Angela Rippon
Bernard Price steps out to explore the antiquities of the ancient Ridgeway that strides the Wessex Downs. Unlike the other long-distance paths, this 'green road' across the countryside is open to trail riders on motor-bikes as well as walkers. With her guests Phil Drabble and Gordon Beningfield, Angela looks at the need for public access to open countryside.
Off the beaten track, Gordon Beningfield visits the ' House of the Mouse' at Kilburn in North Yorkshire, where Robert Thompson started an oak carving craft that has flourished into a furniture industry of international fame.
