A conversation between
Anthony Crosland
Author of ' The Future of Socialism* and Sir John Wolfenden, C.B.E.
Vice-Chancellor of Reading University and formerly Headmaster of two well-known Public Schools
There has lately been evidence of revived interest in the role of the Public Schools. Most of the controversy concerns the basis on which their pupils are selected. In particular, should the main criterion continue to be the capacity of parents to pay? Mr. Crosland believes that it should not, and suggests an alternative.
