Presented by Shashi Kapoor
Music! Action! Thrills! All are essential ingredients in an Indian film. Eight hundred and fifty are made every year, making India's the biggest film industry in the world. The capital of the Indian film world is Bombay, affectionately known as Bollywood. In the second of two documentaries, actor and film star Shashi Kapoor looks at the ingredients required to make a successful film - glamorous stars, music (almost every film has five or six songs) and generous helpings of sex and violence. Recently cinema has suffered from competition with television and the video-recorder but it still remains the only entertainment that even the poorest of India can afford.
