The first Major of 2006 tees off in live coverage of the opening round from the course at Augusta National.
Tiger Woods is the reigning champion, ending a relative drought last year by taking the title for a fourth time after defeating fellow American Chris DiMarco in a play-off. Britons in the 100-strong field hoping to launch a challenge will be Luke Donald and David Howell , who finished joint third and joint 11th back in 2005. Presented by Gary Lineker. Peter Alliss , Ken Brown , Sam Torrance and Wayne Grady commentate, with reports from Andrew Cotter. Coverage continues at 10.35pm over on BBC1.
