Under 30's v. Over 30's
A commentary during play by Howard Marshall from Lord's
The Under 30 team, captained by F. R. Brown , of Surrey and England. will have such young representative cricketers in their team as Denis Compton and Len Hutton ; while the Over 30's, captained by Walter Hammond , Gloucester and England captain, will put into the field such veteran giants as Leslie Ames and Stan Nichols.
Many of the cricketers in both teams will have changed from khaki or light blue into flannels.
Not a first-class match, perhaps, in the official sense of the term, but first-class cricket nevertheless.
