Our Parish
(A special series for Rural Schools by EDITH E. MACQUEEN, Ph.D.)
'The Moor in Summer'

At the present time of year the lovely moorlands that surround the parish of Thorwick are approaching their full summer splendour like those in other parts of the country. In this afternoon's broadcast you are going to hear some of the Thorwick folk and hear how they regard their moors, how they 'work' them, and how they profit from them. You will also hear about peat, and the making of heather besoms, and about the making of the famous heather honey.
