History's first large-scale paratroop invasion took place in May 1941 when Germany invaded the Greek island of Crete. The Germans succeeded in their plan, but the loss of life in doing so horrified Hitler. Conversely, however, this episode convinced Churchill that paratroopers were the way forward. This film evokes the horror of the conflict and looks at how the leaders reached such different conclusions.
