A programme for children under five
Nursery rhymes, stories, and music
Children have always needed dolls, creatures they can smack or caress according to their mood. In their company the child plays out the situations it has observed in the grown-up world. It is not surprising, then, that both girls and boys love stories about dolls in all their forms, and that they have asked so often to hear again those by Jane Alan about Lulupet, the kind, capable doll, and Toffee, "the funny teddy-bear. Julia Lang tells these stories today, tomorrow, and on Wednesday. On Thursday follows a realistic story called ' Winifred and the Lamb.' by E. R. Hutl , and on Friday, ' The Lost Boots.' by E. Rogers , both told by Daphne Oxenford.
