A series of six films in which Dai Smith presents a fresh analysis of the Welsh.
3:Oh! What a Lovely Riot
Even today the events of 1910 in Tonypandy are capable of provoking bitter political arguments. The riots that broke out in the valley town have reverberated through generations. In particular, Winston Churchill has been reviled in South Wales for his role in the conflict. The film reveals the truth about Churchill's strategy and examines why the riots marked a turning-point in political and industrial history.
